The Directory Search is a powerful tool that you can use to locate potential trading partners, to control Permissions for exchanging packages with other Sites and to view or edit your own Directory information.
The Directory Search can only be accessed by a WAM!NETŪ Info CenterSM Administrator.
From the main Directory Services screen, you can:
Search the Directory
View or edit your Sites Directory information
To get started:
1. Click on the Directory link to view the initial Directory Services screen.
1. From the Search screen, enter your search criteria as follows:

| A particular company and its associated Sites | Enter your criteria in the Customer Name field. |
| A particular Site managed by a company |
Enter your criteria in the Site Name
field. Note: Site Name is a term that defines the name of a Purple Box, a WAM!NET® Internet GatewaySM Site, a WAM!NETŪ Content StudioSM Site, or a WAM!NETŪ PROOFSM Site. |
| All companies registered within a particular business classification | Select a Business Type from the drop down menu. |
| All companies located in a particular city, state, or country | Enter your criteria in the appropriate City, State/Province, US State, or Country field(s). |
| A specific Site | Enter the Site ID in the Site ID field. |
| A list of all published members | Do not enter any search criteria. Note that obtaining a complete listing of all members may take some time. It is highly recommended that you narrow your search by entering search criteria in one or more of the fields described above. |
3. Click on the Begin Search button. All SAVVIS Content Exchange Service members matching your search criteria will be displayed.
Hints for a successful search:
- Searches are not case-sensitive, meaning the search will find lower or upper case phrases.
- You can search for the beginnings of phrases without using any wildcards. e.g. searching for wam will find all information that begins with "wam", i.e. WAM!NET or WAMI.
- If you'd like to search for middles or ends of phrases, you must use an asterisk (*). e.g. searching for *net will find all information that contains "net" anywhere in the phrase, except the beginning, i.e. Internet or Internet Gateway.
- Only companies with published Sites will be displayed in the Directory. If you cannot find a Site, and you are certain you have entered your search criteria correctly, the Site may be unpublished. Call the Site's Administrator directly to arrange for them to establish Permissions for exchanging packages. See Publishing a Site in the Directory for more information. If your Site is unpublished and you wish to become published in the Directory, visit support.wamnet.com.
To view or edit your Site's Directory information:
1. Click on the Edit button from the main Directory Services screen. Be sure that the Site you wish to edit is listed in the Current Site box.
2. To change your Site's information, simply select an item and use the arrows to move the item between boxes. The boxes on the left side list all available options. The boxes on the right side are those that will define your Site.
3. Click on the Update Information button.
