Email Notifications

 

Email notifications allow you to receive, on one or more email addresses, notifications of events pertaining to your service. You can, for example, be informed of your packages received and ready for download or packages sent by you and received at the destination.

Email notification can be sent in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish, as specified in the Language drop-down box. The language selected in the drop down box is the one in which the email message(s) will be sent.

E-mail notification is dependent on the Site selected it the Current Site drop down box:

Email notifications are available for the following options:

Notification for Service Announcements
Notification for Shipping and Receiving Events
Notification for Receiving (Hot Folders) Events

 

Notification for Service Announcements

All Sites will have the option of specifying an email address (or multiple addresses, separated by a comma) to be notified of Service Announcements. This allows you to keep apprised of functionality and service offerings available:

To enable this notification:

1. Select the correct Site, for which you wish the notifications, in the Current Site box.

2. Click the Service Announcements checkbox and provide the correct email address(es).

3. Click the Update Notifications button to store your modifications.

 

 

Notification for Shipping and Receiving Events

Notification for Shipping and Receiving Events allows you to select an email address (or multiple addresses, separated by a comma) for notification of package shipments and arrivals. It is currently only available for Managed customers.

Options include:

1. Package Sent Notification: This notification will be triggered whenever a package has been sent from your site. The email address specified will receive an email message containing information about the package and the destination of the package.

2. Package Sent has been Delivered Notification: This notification will be triggered whenever a package that was sent from your site has been delivered to its destination. The email address specified will receive an email message containing information about the package and the destination of the package. Please note that this notification does not mean that an individual has retrieved and viewed the package, only that the package has arrived at the destination site.

3. Package Sent has been Downloaded Notification: This notification will be triggered whenever a package that was sent from your site has been downloaded by a recipient of the package. The email notification will include information on the user that downloaded the package.

4. Package Received Notification: This notification will be triggered whenever a new package arrives at your site and is available to be picked up using WAM!NETŪ Transmission Director XSM or Hot Folders. The email address specified will receive an email message containing information about the package and the sender of the package.


 

Note: Internet Gateway accounts can receive email notifications when packages are sent or received. These settings are defined in the Internet Gateway Account screen. Please see Creating or Editing WAM!NETŪ Internet GatewaySM Accounts for more information.

 

 

Notification for Receiving (Hot Folders) Events

Managed sites that use Hot Folders also have the option of specifying email addresses to be notified when a particular Hot Folder receives a package:

To enable this notification:

1. Select the correct Site, for which you wish the notifications, in the Current Site box.

2. Click the Incoming Hot Folder checkbox and provide the correct email address(es).

3. Click the Update button to store your modifications.
